G&L Hypro Vertical Turret Lathe
February 2020
Rotating Equipment Repair has added another machine to our equipment list, fortifying our in-house capabilities. Our new VTL offers us the ability to manufacture larger parts in-house that we previously had to outsource. This allows us to give our customers the best price possible and provides greater control over our lead-times for larger component repairs. Lead-times and pricing are just two of many benefits that give our customers the RER advantage. The 12’ diameter machine bed is capable of swinging a 155” part up to 153” under the rail.
New Scanning Equipment
June 2019
Rotating Equipment Repair added a new Leica AT960-SR Absolute Tracker along with a LAS-XL scanner and T-Probe III to our engineering department. This equipment is a significant upgrade over our previous long-range Surphaser scanner and short-range Romer arm. Efficiencies have been dramatically improved in regards to scanning, probing, and obtaining the final results. The new equipment also allows us to get into hard-to-reach areas and scan surface finishes that we were unable to scan in the past.
N Stamp Certification
May 2019
The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) has determined that Rotating Equipment Repair has met the necessary requirements to receive the N-4774 Stamp approval. This exclusive ‘N’ stamp allows RER to certify and stamp newly constructed components, parts and appurtenances used at nuclear facilities. This certification has opened the door for RER to enter into nuclear ASME Section III and safety related pump design and construction, further enhancing RER’s ability to provide for the needs of our customers in nuclear jurisdictions.
